The success and growth of ATAF is an attribution of the fundamental commitment and devotion of its member countries and the pivotal role of its country focal persons known as the Country Correspondents.

ATAF Country Correspondents sit at the heart of membership engagement by facilitating ATAF’s exertion and technical assistance to its member states, by ensuring seamless communication between their administrations and the ATAF Secretariat; this significantly contributes to enhancing awareness of ATAF activities; and working as facilitators of ATAF activities when hosted at their home fronts.

In order to maintain the seamless correspondence and liaison between the ATAF Secretariat and its members, the annual Country Correspondents Conference is held at the beginning of the ATAF financial year to set the tone of membership engagement and plays an essential position in aligning ATAF’s mission.

This year’s Conference aims to roll out ATAF in the New Decade agenda by bringing focus to ATAF’s seven working areas, strengthening ATAF’s vision and mission through the review of ATAF’s founding instruments, setting the tenor of ATAF at both the global and continental landscape while equally preparing for the 7th ATAF General Assembly.
