Realization of domestic resource mobilization (DRM) by African countries is dependent on a number of factors some being simplification of tax laws and tax systems backed with knowledge and education which is expected to enhance taxpayers understanding of existing tax systems.

Inadequate taxpayer’s awareness and knowledge has direct impact on tax compliance which deter realization of DRM which causes slow economic growth in Africa. The workshop is targeting to improve the approaches revenue administration undertakes to reach-out to taxpayers through education and awareness campaigns.
