GUIDEBOOK: Efficient Acquisition, Implementation and Maintenance of Integrated Revenue Administration ICT Systems in Africa
The ATAF is pleased to present the first edition of the Guidebook on the Efficient Acquisition, Implementation and Maintenance of Integrated Revenue Administration ICT Systems in Africa (hereafter ATAF’s ICT guidebook). This guidebook offers guidelines and tools on how to strategise, plan, operationalise, sustain, and evaluate the effectiveness of African tax administration ICT solutions in line with RA and client needs.
Over the years, ATAF member countries have implemented information and communication technologie (ICT) reform projects to enhance national tax efforts, in a bid to reap the huge efficiency benefits attributed to ICTs. Revenue authorities (RAs)1, with the support of their development partners, have taken bigger strides to nurture technology to eventually enhance performance efficiencies and reliable data-driven decision-making.
