Zambia, a large and landlocked country in the centre of southern Africa, is the continent’s second- largest copper producer. Copper is also Zambia’s most important export, accounting for 70% of export earnings. Zambia is rich in other natural resources too, such as coal, cobalt, emeralds, hydropower, lead, gold, silver, uranium, and zinc.
