This  African Tax Outlook (ATO) - published by the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) - which has input from 36 ATO countries introduces a new perspective to tax buoyancy, with the analysis using Gross Value Added (GVA) and Sector revenue. Further, given the need to expand the tax base to increase domestic revenue mobilisation, a special feature on tobacco tax will be presented in order to explore the current landscape in Africa. The exploration through data and analysis will form the basis of tailoring tax administration and tax policy solutions for ATAF member countries through reports, suggested approaches, country programmes, and capacity-building initiatives.
